Something Else That Grinds My Gears...

Something else that REALLY grinds my gears is...people who talk in the movie theater (during the movie...or even the previews, for that matter). Two words for anyone who feels the need to sing the songs in the movie, have full blown conversations with the person next to them, and those who like to answer their phones IN THE MOVIES...

SHUT UP!!!!

Not only is it rude as hell to ALL of the people who are actually trying to pay attention, THIS ISN'T YOUR HOUSE! Have some manners for crying out loud!

I went with a friend this past weekend to see He's Just Not That Into You (great movie!!!) and ended up being surrounded by people who were behaving like they had no home training. There was a group of teenage girls directly to my left and then there were some behind me to the left who just felt the need to be LOUD Chatty Cathy's. Movies cost too dang ol much to miss any on account of someone else; I fully intended to get my $10 worth and I wasn't going to have them interfering!

I took a deep breath and let out the biggest "shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" known to mankind.  The girls directly to my left turned and looked at me like deers in headlights...yes, you...SHUT THE HELL UP! The girls behind me INSTANTLY ceased talking. My friend sitting next to me just started laughing. I don't play with my movie time and I dare any other patron to try. Dammit...

@ black girl: I've been known to tell a couple of my friends to shut up talking to me during a movie so that might have been you LOL

@ CaramelKisses: I had someone kicking me in the back too...I just did the slam back into my seat and they got the point to get their damn foot off my chair...people are so rude sometimes!!! I should never be getting comfortable and see a foot wedged on my arm rest. Really? This is okay to you? I REALLY want to just judo chop they azz in the ankle at that point...

One of the many reasons I dislike going to the movie theatre on opening weekends. Too many rude suckas out there talking and being generally annoying.

I can't entertain this either.

I remember when I went on a date with a guy to see an art house style move, he just had to be the biggest, loud mouth stereo typical eejit ever, it was so embarrassing.

The thing is before we went into the screen I warned him "You better not be those annoying people that talk during the move!!!??!!??"

He assured me he wasn't.

It got so bad that when I finally decided to get us out of there, we got a round of applause...grrrrrrrrrhhrhrhrh

*and breath lol

I hate when people talk during a movie..I get up and tell the manager. Little known fact if they continue to talk and you have to go back and re-tell the manager...you get free passes for your next visit.

lol... me and my girls would've driven you crazy last night. We went and saw that movie, and talked through the whole damn thing. but, in our defense, everyone around us did too. LOL

I really feel you on this one. I can't stand that either. I usually hit the movies during the early bird window. AMC Movie theaters got the $4.00 A.M. movie if you catch it before 12 noon. I know that's kind of early but $10 these days hurts a sista's pockets for movies. I want to see that movie "He's Just Not That Into You". I may check it out this week. Have a good one.

One of a few reasons I like to go to the first show of the day. I know it's weird, but I don't run into these issues. I'll never forget going to see some movie a while ago and one of my friends grab the foot of the little boy who kept kicking her seat. She scared the heck outta his little a*s...lol.

$10 for a movie?! Oh now.. I don't think I've ever paid more than $7 and even thats too much.

I don't think I can move anywhere that has a $10 movie. I can by buy it on bootleg for $5 and watch it as many times as I feel like (not that I would ever do such a thing lol...but I'm just sayin)

A definate pet peeve. When I went to see "Twilight" ((The First Time (of 3)) I know... I'm ashamed), there were ALOT of teenagers in there.

I wanted to kill them. LOL... but it's a teen movie so whadda ya gonna do? Movie talking is shitty... If you wanna talk, do so at dinner AFTERWARD.

Sometimes I almost wonder if people do that on purpose, just to flaunt themselves as "rebels" and daring us to tell them to STFU.

Went to see Taken...

1) Young ass chirren (yes chirren) all OVER the place. I told my bf, "WTF?! This is NOT the Romper Room!"

2) A group of particularly loud youngins one row down and on our right. Answering cell phones and talking all loud during certain parts of the movie.

3) Dude behind me kneeing my chair ever so slightly the entire movie.

*Le Sigh*

Never again...
