People Still Drinking the Koolaid...Damn Shame!!!

When I am referencing Kool-Aid, I am talking about none other than Jim Jones...

Photobucket

Now, I know that he FORCED NO ONE to drink that damn cyanide special but that still doesn't stop him from being a certified lunchbox. He had a RIDICULOUS following of people who just wanted to be led. Some people might shake their head at Jim's Disciples and speak out on it even thinking something is wrong with people who follow one person SO vehemently but before you start coming in the building, feeling yourself and being so self-righteous, REMEMBER, MOST RELIGIONS (hell, ALL religions) ARE MAN MADE AND YOU ARE FOLLOWING THE THOUGHTS AND BELIEFS OF SOMEONE...if you profess to have religion in your life. Granted, YOUR religion might be built under the guise that it was ordained by God (and this helps you sleep at night because you know Jim Jones aint leading you) but at the end of the day, anyone who holds onto their religion with undisputed faith, well, you have to acknowledge that someone started your religion.

I've researched pretty much every major religion there is out there that people put their trust and hope in. Is it a bad thing? No! Sometimes we all need something to believe in so that we can get through our day. I see how crazy this world is we live in, just like you, so I FULLY understand. But, what I don't understand IS THIS:

If this aint some Jim Jones "Drink My Kool-Aid NOW" type shat, I don't know what it is. Basically, this KID (he aint even 21 yet...STILL A DAMN TEENAGER), is creating his own religion. Personally, I blame it on the drugs. He has ingested so many pills that he has convinced himself that he is on another level unknown to anyone BUT...another God. Sacrilege at it's finest! Definitely going to hell...kidding (I don't even believe in a fiery damnation but it still sounds good to say, don't it?). Is this KID mislead? I don't know. Especially when I see recordings like this:

The fame has gone to his head and is leaving no time soon. Kind of reminds me of THIS GUY (and bless his heart, I love him dearly, but he's lost his mind and trying to convince us to drink his kool-aid too)

So, back to the 19 year old who ACTUALLY has followers...it frightens me that people are this easily led to believe in something someone else has concocted in their mind. This is why I give people who assume all the time, a questionable look from time to time because people will convince themselves of ANYTHING...as long as it makes sense to them. Rationalizing insanity was never my strong point but then again I have been known to see my life circumstances in black and white, leaving room for gray, only when I didn't want to make a decision at the moment. Rare times for me but they certainly exist.

I don't expect ANY of you to read all those levels of being BASED but this stood out the most to me (it is in quotations because I don't want ANYONE to mistake these words for being mine...or that spelling to be my doing...or those random color arrangements; these are his typed words from his blog):

"Level 7 BASEDGOD
"Lil B"

only a few Chosen ones By "LIL B" HIMSELF!!!!!!" will ever get to become a BASEDGOD.

it takes time and patentice, You have to be BASED for a number days and world spins.

IF YOU ARE BASED AND POSITIVE ENOUGH, PLUS HAVE PRACTIED THE ART OF "BASED" FOR A WHILE NOW, ONE DAY THROUGH YOUR POSITIVE LIVING AND VIBES YOU WILL BE ABLE TO MEET THE "BASEDGOD" AND ASK TO BE KNIGHTED WITH THE "BASEDGOD'S" PEACE JEWLERY!!!!!!!.ONCE THAT HAS HAPPEND YOU WILL BE APART OF THE BASEDGODS.

THERE IS ONLY ONE "BASEDGOD" SO FAR AND THAT IS LIL B THE LEADER OF BASENAM AND BASEDWORLD.

more new levels of BASED And ways of gaining knowledge upon the BASED will be coming soon!

WHAT LEVEL BASED ARE YOU AT?

ARE YOU EVEN BASED?

BASEDBOYS/BASEDGIRLS-ARE WHAT WE ALL ARE"

(yes, he has copyrighted this message to the masses...insane!)

Frankly, I don't understand anyone who would want to be a part of a "religion" that is called something that was USUALLY referenced to someone being gone off that sh*t (read: high off crack). But hey, we all believe in what we believe so I guess it is no different for his following. Personally, I think he read this and decided to go for it.

Either way, this is reassurance that the youth of America need help, like yesterday.

Wow...I was just thinking, "Did he seriously copyright that shit?" and then I read the next line where you said something about that too...lmao.

I have never been a fan of religion. It's just too man made and controlled. All it is, is a bunch of people who are missing some sort of piece in their lives following whatever strokes their flesh at that time. Now, don't get me wrong. I believe in God and His power, but people take things too far. Implementing their own beliefs, bible thumping based on their own understanding. You're right. The youth of today need help...immediately. Religion is really dogmatic too. Personally, I prefer spirituality.

Homey...The wakko from Waco was David Koresh. The Jim Jones compound was located in Jonestown, Guyana.

But yeah I agree with pretty much everything you said.

@ Kenya: I understand the place religion holds in peoples lives; what I don't understand is how some people turn their beliefs into sect like teachings and form these cult followings that are very scary when you think about them...just crazy LOL

@ Jay: Thank you for that correction; I got my psycho's confused; changes have been made LOL. Good looking out too!

I feel like every one of my comments lately has been "wow" but honestly that's all I can say sometimes, lol. How did you even come across this one?

Also, I watched a special about Jim Jones last November while setting up for a "surprise party", very interesting fellow there, haha!

@ jeanette: unfortunately that young clown is from The Bay Area...he is part of this skaterboy type rap group called The Pack...their "founding father/mentor/idol" is Too Short. Too Short basically discovered them and it was history from there. Their music is actually good (in my opinion). Some of the stuff they sing/rhyme about is UTTERLY ridiculous but they are kids so it's understandable. It isn't ridiculous like SouljaBoyTellEm....it's ridiculous like, this is grown folks shat yall are talkin about and you all need whoopins. LOL

They remind me of Digital Underground, Too Short, and Luniz rolled into one group. But I digress, he isn't the only semi-psycho one...there is another one who goes by the name of Stunnaman...in one of his raps he says that he sold his soul to the devil for this rap game...right.

Like I said, the youth of America frighten me LOL

I read all that shit and I still don't have an understanding of what "Based" is? WTF?

Jim Jones did force some people to literally drink that cyanide koolaid. When some people realized they were going to die, they resisted it but his soldiers literally poured the koolaid down the throats of people. It was just a terrible situation all around.

Oh and the state of the world worries me. The fact that a 19 yr old buffoon made up a religion and had followers... A shame. Well, then again.. Scientology WAS made up by a science fiction writer, and all of Hollywood believes his creeds.

Be fair & civil in your commenting. If you can't manage that...well be unfair & rude and I'll respond. Yes, those are your only two options :)
